Wet Basement Restored in Hillsboro, WI

Challenge

Brandi B. in Hillsboro, WI was referred to American Waterworks by a previous satisfied customer. Water was steadily leaking into her basement, and she was tired of cleaning it up and the headaches it was causing. She gave us a call, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to meet with Brandi, present our products, and propose the best solution for her home. She was impressed with Rick’s presentation and moved forward with an installation date.

Solution

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor to create a trench for the 112 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and the feed line. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, which is backed by three levels of protection. Then, the crew installed our spray foam insulation, and a combination of our CleanSpace vapor barrier and Foamax Insulated Panels along the walls for ultimate energy bill savings and moisture protection, in addition to a clean and bright look! Lastly, they installed our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier system to take care of any humidity. The crew completed the project by filling back the gaps with rock, replacing the concrete, and cleaning up their work area. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Brandi is overjoyed with the results and can rest easy knowing our products are backed by a lifetime, transferrable warranty!
