TripleSafe and WaterGuard Protect Basement in Austin, MN

Challenge

Heather N. in Austin, MN wanted to finish her basement, but her current sump pump was unable to keep up after heavy rains. Water was pooling on the floor, and she needed a permanent solution. She started to do some research online, and she was glad to learn that American Waterworks has been the leading waterproofing contractor in the region for over 30 years! We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to meet with Heather and propose a unique solution for her home. Heather was impressed with our products and Ryan’s presentation, and she moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production team started the installation by removing the old sump pump and the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. Next, they installed 150 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and 75 feet of feed line through the middle of the floor. Then, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is backed by three layers of protection which includes a battery backup that can pump out 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge. Any water leaking into Heather’s basement is now properly guided through the WaterGuard drainage system into the sump pump. From there, the water gets pushed through the discharge line and is expelled from the home. Lastly, the crew replaced the concrete and cleaned up their work area.
