Foundation Repair and Waterproofing in Pipestone, MN

Challenge

Ryan T. in Pipestone, MN reached out to one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, after being referred to American Waterworks by several other happy customers who used our services in the past. He had water seeping into his basement, and it was starting to do some damage to his property. He was concerned about the health implications, and he wanted a permanent solution. Eric met with Ryan to evaluate the situation and propose a custom-designed solution for his home. After Eric’s inspection, he was able to recommend a combination of our foundation repair and waterproofing products to ensure his basement would remain a stable and dry space. Ryan was impressed with Eric’s inspection and our products, and he moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team were successfully able to stabilize the damaged basement wall with the installation of 5 Geo-Lock Anchors along the deteriorating foundation. Then, the crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement in order to gain access to the foundation footing and though the middle of the floor for the feed line. They installed 4 of our WellDuct Systems to fix the leaking windows and to redirect any water to the perimeter WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they placed sections of WaterGuard within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone. Lastly, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump and CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls. The CleanSpace directs any water seepage coming through the wall down into the drainage system, and its bright white appearance makes great use of the available lighting. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump. From there, the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Ryan was impressed with the quick installation, and we are happy we could help restore value to his home!
