WaterGuard Protects Basement in Garvin, MN

Challenge

Duane H. in Garvin, MN was referred to American Waterworks by a previous customer. He had water seeping into his basement, and he was looking for a permanent solution. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Duane and evaluate the situation. After his inspection, Shane was able to recommend our WaterGuard drainage system. Duane was impressed with Shane’s presentation, approved of the plan, and moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Edgar Miranda, and his production crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement in order to gain access to the foundation footing and through the middle of the floor for the lateral feed line. Next, they placed sections of WaterGuard within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone. Then, they filled back the gaps with rock, replaced the concrete, and cleaned up their work area. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard into the existing sump pump, and then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Duane was happy with the quick installation, and since then, has been able to enjoy a dry, healthier basement!
