WaterGuard and SuperSump Protect Basement in Dassel, MN

Challenge

Bruce N. in Dassel, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred to us by previous customer. He had water seeping into his basement, and he was concerned about the health implications. He was tired of dealing with a wet basement and wanted a permanent solution. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Bruce, evaluate the situation, and propose a complete solution. Bruce was impressed with our products and Shane’s presentation, so he moved forward with the project.

Solution

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench. Then, they laid the WaterGuard in the trench and installed a SuperSump sump pump. They filled back the gaps with rock and then replaced the concrete around the sump pump and over the WaterGuard. Water now properly drains to the sump pump through the WaterGuard. The water is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Bruce’s peace of mind has been restored and he can now enjoy a dry, healthier basement for years to come!
