Basement Fully Waterproofed in Bingham Lake, MN

When it comes to a wet basement, it is more than just a headache. These problems can create bigger problems like mold, mildew, rot, water moisture, structural damage, and a variety of other problems. Homeowners in Bingham Lake, MN had water leaking throughout their entire basement, causing them to feel nervous and think about health concerns. They called American Waterworks to schedule a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton. Eric went to their home to carefully inspect the basement problems and come up with a solution. After a few hours of going over our products, warranties, and cost, the homeowners got all of their questions answered and felt comfortable with Eric's design, so they went ahead with the repairs and scheduled their installation date.

Solution

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production crew began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls and serve as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our Basement to Beautiful Wall Panels around one of the windows. These wall panels are the best choice for an energy-efficient and dry basement. It is 2 and a half inches thick and creates a warm, protective blanket that will never rot or support mold growth. It also gives the room a neat and clean appearance.

Next, Raul and his team installed our ZenWall Insulated Basement Wall Panel System. Our ZenWall provides insulation, waterproofing, a finished appearance for basement walls, and creates a heat-reflective vapor barrier. ZenWall is compatible with the WaterGuard System, as it tucks easily into the WaterGuard to direct water from the walls to the sump pump. Lastly, our crew replaced the homeowner's pre-existing sump pump with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Our TripleSafe provides triple the protection, comes with a battery back-up, and solves all three water problems in one system. To complete the entire installation, Raul and his team covered and smoothened the open gaps with rock and applied new concrete. The homeowner was extremely happy and had a remarkable experience from start to finish with each member of our team and their departments!
