Basement Waterproofing Repairs in Melrose, MN
Challenge
Basement flooding is a problem that can be solved quickly if it's taken care of in a timely manner. Since repairs like this are such a significant investment, it's worth your time to learn which options will work best to keep your basement maintained as dry, usable space.
A homeowner in Melrose, MN, and water leaking into their basement and they wanted to get it inspected before it caused more problems. They did some research on our website and came across our basement waterproofing repair products. They called our office line and set up a FREE Estimate with one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson. Chad went to their home, inspected the problems, and came up with a solution. The homeowner was confident in Chad's proposal and presentation, so they followed through with the project.
Solution
Chad's proposal consisted of our most common waterproofing product; our WaterGuard System. It's popular because of its resistance to clogs, its easy-to-access service ports, and its ability to collect leaking water from basement walls.
To start the installation, our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team broke out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard System is designed with a built-in wall flange, which extends up the basement wall by 3/8". Any water leaking from the walls will move downward and behind this flange, where it's then directed into the WaterGuard System. To complete the project, our crew covered the open gaps with rock, smoothed them out, and applied new concrete, making the basement look neater than when they found it. The homeowner was happy with the repairs, and was grateful we were able to help them and their home repair needs!
