Wet Basement Repair in Valley City, ND
Challenge
Having a damp or moist basement can cause more issues than just a headache. Issues like these can cause bigger problems such as mold, mildew, damage to the home, and health problems. Some of these symptoms include wet basement floors, leaking walls, standing water, condensation, odors, leaky basement windows, and sump pump problems.
A resident of Valley City, ND was having similar issues like these in their basement, causing them to worry about water moisture and humidity levels in their basement. They did some research on Google and saw American Waterworks. They were interested in our company after looking through our basement waterproofing products, photos, and other services, so they requested a FREE estimate with one of our Design Specialists.
At American Waterworks, we give ON-SITE inspections because they provide the best results when it comes time for installation. An in-person inspection is much more reliable than a phone call, email, or text message with pictures. Along with that, our Design Specialists may even find a different source of the problem or see another issue that could cause damage. This also gives the homeowner a first impression of our company.
Solution
Our Foreman and his production team began the project by introducing themselves to the homeowner and ensuring they were comfortable with the installation. After a walkthrough of what our team was going to do, our team got to work and began the project by jackhammering out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. Inside the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is an interior drainage system. Our WaterGuard prevents water and mud clogs, and it collects water leakage from basement walls, which eventually escapes the home. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. This special barrier is made to prevent mold and humidity, save money on energy bills, give the basement a neat and clean appearance, and cover any holes or divots in the wall. To complete the installation, our team filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring it was smooth and neat.
The homeowner was happy with the work and was grateful we could assist them and their home repair needs! Are you experiencing water damage or other home repair problems? Call us today or click HERE to request your free estimate!
