Challenge

Having a damp, wet, or moist basement can cause more than just a headache. These problems can cause bigger problems like mildew, rot, structural damage, mold, and health problems. A resident of Wykoff, MN was having similar problems in their basement, causing them to worry about damage to their carpet. They got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist. He went to the homeowner's house, carefully looked at and diagnosed their issues, and drew out a solution that worked for them and their home repair needs. The homeowner was confident in our proposal of our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, so they signed our contract, wrote out a deposit, and got a date scheduled for the installation.

Solution

Our Foreman and his production team began the process by introducing themselves to the homeowner and ensuring all of their questions were answered. After a thorough introduction, our team got to work and jackhammered out the concrete basement floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which serves as an underground drain, collects water seepage from basement walls, and prevents water and mud clogs. To complete the installation, our team filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Our Foreman performed a detailed walkthrough with the homeowner after the project was completed to ensure the homeowner was comfortable and happy with the work that was completed.
