Church Gets Waterproofing Transformation in Tower City, ND
Challenge
Shirley, from Tower City, ND, gave us a call when she began to notice water entering the basement of the church she frequents. Shirley was concerned that the water could do serious damage to the foundation of the property and cause health problems for the congregation because of the possible mold and mildew that accompany unwanted moisture. Shirley used her FREE estimate and had our Fargo-based Design Specialist, Kole, out to the property to do a thorough inspection, diagnose the issue, and recommend solutions that would preserve the church for a long time to come.
After his inspection, Kole discovered that the water was entering the property through cracks in the foundation of the basement. He made a few recommendations for Shirley and her congregation. She agreed and renovations began shortly after.
Solution
Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew got to work on Kole's recommendations. They began by installing CleanSpace on the North and South walls of the basement. This system traps water entering through cracks in the wall behind a tarp-like barrier, directing the water down the wall to a drainage system. In the church's case, Kole suggested that they use our WaterGuard drainage system. This particular system lies beneath the concrete floor, atop the footing of the foundation, and catches the water being redirected from the CleanSpace barrier on the wall above, leading it to the appropriate disposal site. The final step for Cameron and his crew was to give the water somewhere to be directed. Kole had recommended Shirley our SuperSump Plus to catch the water being redirected from both the WaterGuard and CleanSpace systems.
Once the installations were done, Shirley and her congregation were relieved to know that their worries were in the past!
