Damp Basement Gets Waterproofed in Portland, ND
Challenge
Steve and Marge were facing a serious water intrusion problem in their basement. They were afraid that if the issue went unresolved, they would run the risk of doing more serious and permanent damage to the space. After doing some research, they came across our company. When they called our office, we set them up with a FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Richie, headed out to the property to complete a thorough inspection.
Solution
Once Richie completed his walkthrough, he made several recommendations as to how we could help. First, Richie wanted to use our WaterGuard french drainage system. Richie explained that the WaterGuard is installed below the concrete floor, atop the foundation footing, but out of the "mud zone" where normal drains can clog. He went on to say that it works to trap any water entering through cracks or holes in the foundation and helps it travel to an appropriate disposal site, which was Richie's second recommendation. Richie wanted to use our SuperSump system along with our UltaSump Battery Backup to give the water someplace to flow to. Richie went on to say that our SuperSump is an effective and more economical solution and is engineered to keep basements dry during times of heavy water intrusion. Richie then explained that the UltraSump battery backup can help any of our sump systems pump out 11,500 gallons or more in a single charge, and has the ability to alert you of power failure, as it sounds an alarm when it runs and silences when the pump cycles off, making it the perfect addition to a home with heavy water intrusion. Steve and Marge agreed and work began a month later.
Our Foreman, Zach, and his team worked diligently to install 122 ft of WaterGuard throughout the basement, along with 1 SuperSump and 1 UltaSump battery backup. Now that the job is completed, Steve and Marge are happy to have their peace of mind back!
