Challenge

Karen from Blomkest, MN, was having moisture issues in her basement and wanted to address them before they worsened.

Our Design Specialist, Skylar, went to the property and recommended the customer invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing. It is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone" and making it harder to clog.

Solution

The foreman, Arturo, and his crew headed out and got started on making Karen's home a drier, safer place to live. First, our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

The drainage system now properly guides water to the Super Sump Plus pump, which pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Karen was pleased with the results and is glad her basement is now a dry, healthy space.
