Severe Basements Walls Seperation in Hendrum, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Hendrum, MN, noticed their basement walls and foundation had been separating and bending over time. Knowing they could not keep pushing this project off, the homeowners asked neighbors for recommendations in basement repair. After gathering a consensus, the homeowners chose to sign up for American Waterworks' FREE estimate. Design Specialist, Kole, was sent out to the home to come up with a solution for the homeowners.

Solution

Kole recommended that all the basement walls be stabilized and waterproofed. Per the homeowner's request, the walls were to be straightened also. The crew began by excavating the walls to straighten them. Due to the ducting in the east and west wall, the crew installed C-Channel anchors. On the north and south walls, PowerBraces were put into place. Next, the crew moved to waterproofing the basement by excavating channels for the WaterGuard. Along with the WaterGuard, the crew installed a new TripleSafe sump pump system. In addition to the TripleSafe sump pump, the homeowner requested to add on the IceGuard. Next, CleanSpace was installed around all of the walls to seal the basement. One of the final products installed was the Aprilaire humidifier.
