Major Foundation Concerns in Rogers, ND
Challenge
A homeowner in Rogers, ND, found wall cracks and hanging ceiling panels throughout their basement. Knowing they needed the best of the best, the homeowner decided to reach out to American Waterworks to sign up for their FREE estimate. We sent out our Design Specialist, Richie, to investigate what the culprit could be. Following his thorough investigation, Richie warned the owners they had numerous issues regarding the home, including their foundation, basement, and concrete. Richie suggested that the homeowner waterproof their basement, lift and level the concrete patio, stabilize the foundation and walls, and install new basement egress windows. Overwhelmed at first, the homeowners thought over their options and ultimately decided to follow Richie's recommendations.
Solution
After the homeowner approves the project, the crew could begin preparation. As soon as they arrived, the crew began the task at hand. First, the crew decided to stabilize the settled foundation by installing 39 push piers around the perimeter of the foundation. To stabilize the foundation walls, the crew installed 13 Geo-Lock anchors on the west wall. Moving inside, the crew's focus moved to waterproofing the basement. Since the old basement windows were not up to code, the crew installed three new Rockwell Egress Windows. The crew dug channels around the perimeter of the basement to place the WaterGuard. In addition to the installation of the WaterGuard, the homeowners requested that the SuperSump Plus be installed in their home. CleanSpace was then installed on all the basement walls to prevent leaks and mold growth in the basement. The crew completed the job and the homeowners were grateful their home was rescued.
