Waterproofing Makeover in Waconia, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Waconia, MN, noticed a foul smell coming from their basement. Knowing this was not a good sign, the homeowner decided to search for a professional repair company to provide them with answers. While searching, the homeowners decided to work with five-star rated, American Waterworks. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate on our website. Eric, one of our Design Specialist, was sent to the home to begin the estimate appointment. After completing the in-depth inspection of the basement, Eric determined it needed to be waterproofed and the crawl space be encapsulated. Eric showed the homeowners multiple versions of the solution and the homeowners selected the one that matched their situation best. Once the plans were approved by the homeowners, they were directed to the assigned crew to begin preparations.

Solution

Our crew traveled to the home and began prepping the basement for the waterproofing installation. They first installed the WaterGuard around the northern corner of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew installed a feedline across the basement floor. Since all the water lines were in the proper place, the crew could install the SuperSump Plus in the home. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace along the entire north wall and sections of the west and east walls. To finish the basement repairs, the crew applied spray foam along all the basement walls. The crew shifted their focus to the crawl space encapsulation. First, the crew made sure the crawl space was cleared. After the space was cleared, the crew then installed the drainage matting onto the crawl space floor. Then, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl space floors and walls to ensure it stayed dry. Once the crew had completed the job, they cleaned up the site and left the home. The homeowners were thankful for the wonderful basement transformation.
