Challenge

A homeowner in Morton, MN, had a hunch that their basement could be leaking after a heavy rainstorm. Once they went downstairs, they discovered water falling from their egress window. Wanting to solve this issue as soon as possible, the homeowner began searching for a basement repair company to complete the work. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane, to the home to investigate the status of the foundation. Following his in-depth inspection, Shane found that the basement needed to be properly waterproofed and some of the walls be permanently stabilized.

Solution

Shane provided a couple of solutions for the homeowner to consider. After comparing all their options, the homeowner chose the one best fit for their home. The plans were then sent to the production crew and preparation began. After the crew arrived, they began by installing the TripleSafe sump pump in the corner of the basement. Once the TripleSafe was secured, the crew installed CleanSpace on the north and west foundation walls. CleanSpace is a waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is ideal for unfinished basement walls. Next, the crew put ten GeoLocks in place on the north and west walls. GeoLocks is our innovative wall anchoring system that is designed to prevent walls from bowing and cracking further. To finish out the project, the crew attached an IceGuard on the outside discharge line to prevent any frozen buildup.
