Water Crisis Resolved in Hixton, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Hixton, MN, was frantic after discovering large puddles of water in their basement. Not wanting any long-term damage to occur, the homeowner immediately called us, American Waterworks. The homeowner contacted our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After their estimate was set, the home attempted to clean up their basement while they awaited the arrival of Mac, one of our Design Specialists. When Mac arrived at the home, he greeted the homeowner and immediately began his basement analysis. Mac completed the inspection and confirmed the basement needed extensive waterproofing.

Solution

Mac proposed a solution that would save the basement, but would also stabilize the struggling foundation. Wanting all their issues repaired, the homeowner agreed with Mac's suggestions. As soon as they earned the stamp of approval, the crew prepared for production. The crew made their way to the home and started production. First, the crew focused on installing the WaterGuard, our award-winning, patented below-floor drain, around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard channel was placed, the crew dug a feed line across the floor to tie into the new TripleSafe Sump Pump, our reliable sump pump system that provides three levels of protection for your basement and peace of mind. Once all the waterproofing products were installed, the crew decided to work on installing nine CarbonArmor strips onto the north wall.
