Waterproofing System Saves Basement in Graceville, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Graceville, MN was worried about the condition of her basement. The space had worn down over the years, and more recently started taking in water which resulted in damage and dampness to the floors and walls. The homeowner decided it was time to actually do something and fix the problem rather than have it get worse and possibly hurt another area of her home. She found the American Waterworks website online and was impressed with our past basement waterproofing projects and their results. She scheduled one of our FREE no-obligation estimates to learn more and find a long-lasting solution for the basement. We received the homeowner's request and sent over Design Specialist Kevin Beseman to the home where he carried out a detailed inspection.

Solution

It was clear to Kevin that the basement was in great need of some waterproofing so the damage wouldn't grow over time. He recommended a detailed plan to the homeowner that involved installing three essential products to fix the problem. The homeowner was happy something could be done and agreed to the plans. Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew went to the site to carry out the installations. They started by installing the WaterGuard perimeter drain system at the base of the walls, which is designed to catch the incoming water and send it towards the new SuperSump Plus that was also installed. The crew placed CleanSpace basement wall vapor barrier on the walls as well to stop the water vapor and move any leaks to the new WaterGuard drain. The homeowner was excited with the results and impressed with the crew's hard work.
