Challenge

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed a white residue on their basement walls. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to inspect the status of their home. The homeowner took their search to the internet and looked into "Minneapolis waterproofing". One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks. After looking through our previous projects, the homeowner knew their project was in the best hands. Since they were on the website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. The homeowner awaited the arrival of Daniel, one of our Design Specialists. Daniel arrived at the home and began his thorough walk-through of the home.

Solution

Once he completed the walk-through, Daniel discovered the northern side of the basement was showing signs of water intrusion. Daniel alerted the homeowner of his findings but also provided them with a solution. Daniel recommended installing WaterGuard on the northern side of the basement to prevent any further water intrusion. After considering all their options, the homeowner agreed with Daniel's recommendations. Daniel sent the plans back to the office for approval, and then they were directed to our Foreman, Lane. Once they received the plans, Lane and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Lane and his crew dug channels for the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard is a perimeter drain system specifically engineered to fix basement water problems without issues of clogging. Once the channels were dug, the crew placed the WaterGuard and covered it with cement. Once the crew installed the WaterGuard, they could clean up their materials and leave the home.
