Challenge

A homeowner in Long Lake, MN, grew anxious after discovering several water stains throughout their basement floors and walls. Unsure where the water was coming from, the homeowner began searching for an expert to provide them with a solution. After looking into waterproofing near Minneapolis, MN, and came across our services. Impressed with our extensive services, the homeowner decided to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Nick, to the home. Nick arrived at the home and started his detailed investigation of the basement.

Solution

Once Nick completed the estimate, he was able to find where the water was sneaking into the home. Nick provided the homeowner with a solution that would solve the leaky issues in their basement. After hearing Nick's suggestions, the homeowner agreed and the plans were sent to the office for approval. The office finalized the plans and directed them to our Foreman, Diego, and his crew. Soon after, Diego and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew started by installing the WaterGuard along the north and west walls of the basement. WaterGuard is our below-floor drain that is engineered to fix basement water issues without clogging. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. Then, the crew moved outside and attached the IceGuard to the outside discharge line. The IceGuard solves the issues of frozen discharge lines and provides you with a reliable waterproofing system. Finally, the crew installed the Aprilaire E70, a high-capacity solution that removes moisture from the air. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.
