Sump Pump Issues Resolved in Devils Lake, ND

Challenge

A homeowner in Devils Lake, ND, noticed their sump pump was malfunctioning. Worried this could cause major issues, the homeowner began looking into options for replacement. Additionally, the homeowner hoped to find a company that would install the sump pump. The homeowner looked through several waterproofing companies, but only one caught their attention, American Waterworks. We sent one of our Design Specialists, James, to the home to begin the estimate.

Solution

After James arrived, he began his thorough inspection of the basement. First, James took a look at the struggling sump pump. James discovered the sump pump was slowing down and replacement was required. Next, James noticed several damp spots around the sump pump. Once he completed the inspection, James shared his findings and provided the homeowner with a possible solution. The homeowner agreed with James' suggestions, and the plans were sent to our Logistics team for approval. Once approved, they were passed to our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew to begin the project. First, Kingsley and his crew began by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is the perimeter drain system that is designed to solve basement water issues and prevent it from clogging. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump, one of the most reliable sump pumps on the market. Next, the crew installed Foamax on the basement walls. Foamax is an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel designed with a white foil finish on the top and foil vapor on the back. On the outside, the crew installed an IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting, to the outside discharge line. Finally, the crew installed the Aprilaire next to the sump pump.
