Leaky Basement Gets Transformed in Sleepy Eye, MN
Challenge
A homeowner from Sleepy Eye, MN, walked down to his basement after a night of storms and was shocked when his foot made contact with a puddle of rainwater in the middle of his basement. Not wanting any more water intrusion, he decided to begin the search for a company that could explain the situation and how best to fix it. On the recommendation of a friend, the homeowner decided to sign up for our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan W, was scheduled to head out to the home.
Solution
Dylan completed a thorough inspection, during which time he inspected the floor of the basement, the foundation of the home, and much more. Once he concluded his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss. Dylan informed the homeowner that he was right to get in touch with us. Waterproofing issues don't get better with time, but they do with a solution. Dylan said that the water was entering the home through cracks or holes in the basement floor. He went on to say that his plan involved 3 of our products. First, Dylan wanted to address the water coming up from the floor with our WaterGuard. This award-winning, patented below-floor drain rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the footing of the foundation and works to collect water entering from both the wall and floor, keeping the water within the drain, and directing it to the correct disposal site. Because of the amount of water the basement was seeing, Dylan recommended our TripleSafe to be the disposal site.
