Damp Basement Gets a Solution in Fountain, MN

Challenge

A Fountain, MN, homeowner was growing concerned about water pooling on his floor. Not wanting the issue to worsen, he decided to find a basement waterproofing company in Fountain, MN. Eventually, he found our website and signed up for our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ryan M, headed out to the home.

Solution

Once Ryan finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give recommendations. Ryan wanted to use several of our products to address the leaky basement. First, Ryan recommended the installation of our DryTrak baseboard basement drain system. Because of the type of basement floor the homeowner had, Ryan was confident that this particular drain would be the best. This unique drain system is permanently epoxied above the floor, eliminating invasive and messy jackhammering of the floor. Second, Ryan wanted the DryTrak to drain unwanted water into our TripleSafe Sump Pump. Our most reliable sump system, this powerful machine provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. Third, Ryan recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp gets applied directly to unfinished basement walls and works to collect water entering through holes and cracks in the wall, slowly directing them down and into the DryTrak. With an anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in, this solution won't grow mold or mildew. Finally, Ryan recommended our AprilAire dehumidifier. Ryan explained that even basements with an effective waterproofing system can still develop moisture and mold problems. Concrete walls and floors continually absorb moisture from the soil and release it into the air in your basement, and store-bought dehumidifiers simply aren't strong enough to solve the problem. The AprilAire E100 creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% RH.
