Leaky Basement Resolved in Manly, IA

Challenge

A homeowner in Manly, IA, grew concered after discovering their basement was suffering from water intrusion. Hoping to stop the issue before it worsened, the homeowner began looking for an expert solution. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner decided to ask a friend who had similar work done. The friend recommended the homeowner work with us, so they called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Ryan, one of our Iowa-based Design Specialists.

Solution

Ryan arrived at the home, introduced himself, and started his thorough investigation of the basement. During his investigation, Ryan found several spots where the water was sneaking into the home. Ryan recommended installing several waterproofing products to prevent the issue from continuing. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they decided to go ahead with the plan of action. Next, Ryan passed the plans along to our Logistics team to schedule and build the project. As soon as the project was built, the proposal was passed along to our Foreman, Jesus, and his crew. Next, Jesus and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Jesus and his team began by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. WaterGuard is a perimeter drain system that is specifically engineered to fix basement water issues effectively without the risk of clogging. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump, one of the most reliable pumping systems in the world. Finally, the crew shifted their focus to installing an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. The IceGuard allows water to escape if the sump pump discharge pipes freeze or become blocked for any reason.
