Basement Repair Transformation in Fargo, ND
Challenge
A homeowner in Fargo, ND, disliked the appearance of their cracked and wet walls. Uncertain of the cause, the homeowner began searching for answers. Knowing they needed a professional inspection, the homeowner looked into "foundation repair near me" and one of the top companies to populate was American Waterworks. After taking a closer look at our previous project, the homeowner knew we were the best company for the project. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ian, one of our Design Specialists.
Solution
Ian arrived at the home and began the detailed investigation of the foundation and basement. During his investigation, Ian discovered the foundation was cracked and started to bow slightly. In addition to the foundation issues, Ian discovered that there was water sneaking into the basement. To stop all these issues from continuing, Ian recommended installing a healthy mix of waterproofing and foundation products. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they decided to go ahead with Ian's proposal. As soon as the homeowner approved the proposal, Ian passed the plans along to our Logisitcs team to schedule the project. Once the project was assigned and confirmed by the Logistics team, it was assigned to our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew to begin. Aaron and his team traveled to the home and started the installation. First, Aaron and his team began by installing 15 PowerBraces throughout the foundation. PowerBraces is a foundation repair system that is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and has the potential to straighten these walls over time. After the PowerBraces were secured, the crew shifted their focus to installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. WaterGuard is a perimeter drain system that is specifically engineered to fix basement water issues effectively without the issues of clogging. After the WaterGuard was installed, the crew shifted their focus to attaching CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a quick and economical way to encapsulate basement walls. After the CleanSpace was secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their home was secured and dry.
