Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing and Radon Mitigation Systems Installed in Saint Clair, MN

Pam W. in Saint Clair, MN had water leaking into her basement. Some of her property had been ruined from water damage, and she was tired of dealing with a big mess after each rain. She also learned that her home had a high level of radon. She contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our waterproofing and radon mitigation systems.  We were able to successfully waterproof Pam’s basement by installing our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of her basement and lateral lines through the floor. Next, we installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. Water now drains through the WaterGuard into the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Then, the crew installed our radon mitigation system. First, they inserted a PVC pipe through the sump pump system which creates a suction point for radon gas. The PVC pipes runs up the basement wall, through the wall to outside of the home, and up to the roof. There is a fan near the exit point on the PVC pipe to ensure that the radon gas is being pushed out and away from the home. Our radon mitigation system can easily be installed alongside our waterproofing systems without the need to contact additional contractors. Pam is glad she took the necessary measures to make her home a dry and healthy space!
