Concrete Lifting at Amesbury Truth Manufacturing in Cannon Falls, MN
Challenge
Amesbury Truth Manufacturing in Cannon Falls, Minnesota had concerns of undermined soils after noticing cracking in storage building slabs. In addition to the cracking, hollow sounds were observed during fork lift traffic. The facility runs 24 hours a day and stopping production was not an option. Preventative maintenance was the largest factor.
Solution
American Waterworks solved the problem by drilling penny sized holes though the concrete, and injecting a two part high density polyurethane foam to fill voids, and stabilize all slabs that support fork lift traffic. Foam was injected in a grid pattern that allowed full coverage void filling, and no lifting of the slabs. The project took two days to complete and production continued to flow during installation.
