Sinking Slab Lifted in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, had a sunken concrete slab at the front step of her home and knew that it impacted the curb appeal of her home. In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Brad explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slab upright. As this continues, gaps and holes can be found in the soil, and the slab would begin to sink. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel, our waterproof foam expanding formula that accurately lifts sinking slabs, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility and long-lasting durability. The homeowner was happy to move forward with the project and scheduled the installation date. 
In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the concrete slabs by drilling small holes and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected, filling in the empty spaces in the soil, causing the slab to lift. Once it is lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew sealed the joints with NexusPro.
