Sinking Concrete Lifted in Kilkenny, MN
Challenge
The stability of any concrete surface is dependent on the soils beneath it. The weight of concrete and what it supports, combined with natural soil erosion, can lead to sunken and uneven concrete surfaces.
This exact problem happened to a Kilkenny, MN male homeowner. His concrete patio slab had sunken down, causing a stoop. He didn't like the appearance of it and he was concerned about tripping hazards. He went to his local home show to see if he could find a concrete contractor. He ran into our booth and saw that we provide work in concrete repair. He talked to our Design Specialist running the show and told him about his problems. We told him we provide free estimates, so he scheduled one for the next day. Our Design Specialist drove to his home, carefully inspected the concrete, and drew up a well-designed solution for the problem. The homeowner was confident in our proposal, our product, and our warranty, so he went ahead with the installation and scheduled a date for the repairs.
Solution
Our Foreman and his crew member arrived at the home and met with the homeowner to discuss any further questions or concerns before starting the job. The homeowner had no questions, so our team got to work and injected 104 pounds of our PolyLevel. Our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that gets injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and to stabilize the concrete surface. Our PolyLevel is waterproof, strong but light, cures fast, and is non-invasive. The homeowner was thrilled with the work that was completed and loved the new view of their patio!
