Challenge

Underneath any concrete slab, gaps and voids can form due to soil shrinking, washing away, or settling. Whether it is a sidewalk, garage floor, driveway, or patio, the reasons for concrete settlement are all due to the soil. In this scenario, the concrete settles and creates an uneven surface because the soil cannot support it.

David W. of Albany, MN had an uneven concrete slab in front of his garage and it needed to be lifted. He heard about American Waterworks from one of his friends who also had work done by American Waterworks. He liked what he heard, so he got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist team. Our Design Specialist went to David's home, inspected his concrete, and determined a solution that would work for him and his needs. Our Design Specialist proposed our PolyLevel, which is a special foam that gets injected underneath the concrete slab to fill the voids and raise the concrete surface. David was confident in the proposal and got all of his questions answered, so he followed through with the project, and got a date scheduled for the installation.

Solution

Our Foreman and his crew member got to David's house, introduced themselves, and ensured all of his questions were answered. After a thorough and clear introduction, our Foreman and his crew member injected 120 pounds of our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to stabilize and raise the surface. Our PolyLevel is a clean installation, it provides accurate results, it is adjustable, and it cures within 15 minutes of injection, unlike mudjacking which takes 24 or more hours. To complete the injection, our Foreman performed a thorough walkthrough with David and ensured he was happy with the work that was completed.
