Concrete Lifting in Casselton, ND
Challenge
Most concrete problems start with the soil. Soil can soften due to moisture, shrink due to drought, or become unstable if it's not compacted correctly. Situations like this can cause voids underneath the concrete, which allows the concrete to sink and become uneven. As the concrete sinks, it can crack and break, creating raised edges that reduce the curb appeal of any home and can be potentially dangerous.
A resident of Casselton, ND was having similar problems like this. Their concrete driveway was sinking and they wanted to get it lifted back to its natural position. They worked with American Waterworks on the project. Our Design Specialist proposed the solution of our PolyLevel, which is a dense, foam injection that fills the voids underneath the surface that are caused by soil erosion. The resident was confident in our approach and presentation, so they went ahead with the project.
Solution
Our Foreman and his crew member began the project by introducing themselves to the homeowner and ensuring all of their questions were answered. After a complete introduction, our team got to work. The first thing our crew did was drill small, 5/8" holes throughout the slab. Next, our crew installed injection ports over the holes to guide the PolyLevel underneath the concrete. Then, our team injected the PolyLevel through the holes to get underneath the slab and fill the voids to raise and level the slab surface. To complete the installation, our crew provided the resident with a thorough walkthrough of what they did and ensured the resident's expectations were met.
