Car Dealership Gets Concrete Lift in Rochester, MN
Challenge
Korey, the Facilities Manager at Rochester Toyota, had begun to notice concrete sinkage in the back of the dealership. He was concerned that if the issue was left untreated, the Rochester Toyota team could run the risk of tripping on the uneven surface. Korey knew that Rochester Toyota had previously had some work done by us, so he decided to call our office to see if we could schedule another visit. Our appointment center set him up with a FREE estimate and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Rick, headed out to the dealership. After his thorough inspection, he informed Korey that he could be experiencing sinkage for various reasons, including soil washout, drought because of the warm temperatures, or erosion over time.
Solution
Rick wanted to correct the sinkage with our PolyLevel, an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill gaps caused by soil erosion and raises and stabilize the concrete surface. Rick explained that this solution would be the best choice because it's minimally invasive, has a quick cure time, and is long-lasting. Korey agreed and work began a few weeks later. Our PolyLevel team, Dylon M. and Dylon V. began the process by strategically drilling holes into the sunken concrete slabs. Next, they injected the PolyLevel into the holes while monitoring the lifting process carefully to ensure no overcorrections were made. Finally, they sealed the drilled holes and any cracks and joints with our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up against harsh weather conditions, ensuring no unwanted moisture permeates the concrete. When the work was completed Korey was happy to know that he and his colleagues no longer had to watch out for tripping hazards due to uneven concrete!
