Sinking Concrete Concerns in Stacy, MN
Challenge
A homeowner in Stacy, MN, grew concerned over the separation between their sidewalk and concrete stairs leading into their home. Knowing this would not be a do-it-yourself type of fix, the homeowner began looking for a professional concrete lifting servicer. The homeowner came across our past concrete work and was impressed. So they decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the appointment was set in stone, we sent Romeo, one of our Design Specialists, to investigate the situation. Following his investigation, Romeo alerted the homeowner of the several cracks and that the separation would only worsen. Romeo proposed a recommended solution to the homeowners, to which they agreed. The proposed plans were sent to the crew and production commenced.
Solution
Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew arrived at the property and began the concrete lifting process. To lift the concrete, the crew utilized the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. First, the crew focused on inserted the PolyLevel on the front sidewalk and then on the back patio. After the PolyLevel was successfully installed, the crew focused on replaced the joints in the sidewalk. The crew first removed the old joints and then replaced it with the NexusPro Joint Sealant. The NexusPro Joint Sealant is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and can stand up to harsh weather. Once the joints were released, the crew could go ahead and clean the site up. The homeowners were impressed with the high quality work done by the crew.
