Crack and Joints Repaired in Loretto, MN
Challenge
A homeowner in Loretto, MN, was concerned about the growing gap between the stairs and sidewalk. Worried it would be a safety hazard, the homeowner decided to get a professional second opinion. After thorough research, the homeowner signed up for American Waterworks FREE estimate. As soon as the estimate was made, we assigned a Design Specialist to travel to the home to complete the inspection. Upon arrival, the Design Specialist noticed that the concrete was sinking, which was the main cause of the separation. After determining the cause, the Design Specialist could provide a recommended solution. After hearing from the Design Specialist, the homeowner agreed with the solution and production began.
Solution
Once they received the plans, the assigned crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew inserted the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, underneath the affected concrete. By injecting the PolyLevel, the concrete will be lifted to match the level of the stairs. After the PolyLevel injection was successful, the crew shifted their focus to filling the various cracks and joints throughout the concrete. To fill these cracks, the crew utilized the NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and can stand up to harsh weather. After the crew finished installing the NexusPro, they cleaned up their job site and left the home. The homeowners were grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew.
