Challenge

A homeowner in Cottage Grove, MN, was enjoying an evening on their porch when they noticed their sidewalk was overlapping. Concerned by this observation, the homeowner knew they needed an expert to come out and inspect the status. Knowing they did not want to replace the entire slab, the homeowner searched for a repair option. After the appointment was finalized, the homeowners prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists. Upon arrival, the Design Specialist began by performing an in-depth examination of the sidewalk and stairs leading to the front of the home.

Solution

Once they completed the examination, the Design Specialist determined that the concrete was sinking and required to be lifted and leveled. After alerting the homeowners of the cause, the Design Specialist recommended a solution that would salvage the concrete. After considering all of their potions, the homeowner decided to go along with their plan and preparations began. Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. Once they arrived, they began by installing the PolyLevel underneath the affected concrete. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete without the mess and cost of replacement. Once the PolyLevel was installed, the crew shifted their focus filling the cracks and joints on the concrete. To fill the cracks, the crew utilized the NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant that provides long-lasting flexibility and can stand up to harsh weather conditions. Once all the cracks and joints were filled, the crew cleaned up their site and left the home.
