Sidewalk Saved in Rockford, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Rockford, MN, noticed their sidewalk was becoming a tripping hazard. Wanting to solve the issue before it worsened, the homeowner wanted to fix it. Instead of replacing the whole slab, they looked for alternative solutions. During their search, the homeowner came across some of our impressive concrete before and afters on social media. Interested in our repair services, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists. Once he arrived, the Design Specialist began their inspection of the sidewalk. Following the inspection, the homeowner determined that the cause of the tripping hazard was sinkage.

Solution

After he found the root of the issue, the Design Specialist recommended that the sidewalk be lifted and leveled. After weighing all their options, the homeowner decided to follow through with this plan. As soon as they received the go-ahead, the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Sam, and his crew arrived at the home to begin the project. First, the crew inserted the PolyLevel underneath the sinking sidewalk. The PolyLevel is a high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete slabs. Once the sidewalk was fully lifted, the crew shifted their focus to filling the various cracks and joints throughout the sidewalk. To fill these cracks and joints, the crew utilized the NexusPro Crack Sealant, a silicone-based sealant. After all the cracks and joints were filled, the crew cleaned up their site and left the home.
