Fairfax, MN Concrete Lifted

Challenge

A homeowner in Fairfax, MN, was cleaning mowed grass off of their driveway when they took note of how damaged it looked. Instead of letting the issue worsen, the homeowner began looking for a solution. While looking through the many concrete companies, the homeowner came across one of our previous job sites and was impressed. The homeowner was impressed enough to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin, to the home to perform the estimate. Kevin arrived at the home and introduced himself to the homeowner, then he began his evaluation of the concrete. Following his detailed inspection, Kevin discovered that the concrete was sinking due to soil compaction and settling.

Solution

To stop the settling from continuing, Kevin recommended that the PolyLevel be inserted underneath the driveway slab and sidewalk. The homeowner wanted to avoid total concrete replacement, so they followed along with Kevin's plan. Once they received the stamp of approval, the solution was sent to the crew to begin production. Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew arrived at the home to begin the lifting and leveling services. To lift and level the driveway, the crew utilized PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. Once the PolyLevel was installed underneath the sidewalk and driveway, the crew began taking out all the old joints that required replacement. Then, the crew inserted the NexusPro Joint Sealant in the empty joints. The NexusPro Joint Sealant can seal joints and cracks in one application and can protect against the damage caused by soil compaction and washout. The crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their driveway was saved from settlement.
