Saint Paul Park, MN, Concrete Repaired
Challenge
A homeowner in Saint Paul Park, MN, was walking into their garage when they tripped on the uneven sidewalk. Not wanting the issue to worsen, the homeowner began looking into all their options. Not sure which expert company to look into, the homeowner asked their friends and family for recommendations. Many of them recommended, American Waterworks. The homeowner took a closer look at the types of services we offer and was impressed by our concrete services, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Gary. After Gary arrived, he began the evaluation of the home's concrete. Gary determined that the concrete was sinking due to soil settlement.
Solution
To stop the sidewalk from sinking further, Gary suggested that the sidewalk be lifted and leveled using the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. Additionally, Gary suggested that the sidewalk joints be replaced with the NexusPro Joint Sealant, a silicone-based sealant. Knowing they could not solve this issue themselves, the homeowner decided to follow Gary's suggestions. Once they received the stamp of approval, our Foreman, Troy, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. The crew started by inserting the PolyLevel underneath the garage aprons and sidewalk in front of the home. After the PolyLevel was successfully installed, the crew shifted their focus to replacing the joints on the sidewalk. The NexusPro Joint Sealant is specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and can stand up to harsh weather conditions. After all the concrete products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their sidewalk was saved from further sinking.
