Sinking Ramp Entrance Gets Lifted in Osseo, MN
Challenge
A homeowner from Osseo, MN, was facing a problem. His front entrance had a wheelchair-accessible ramp, but a piece of concrete at the entrance was sinking, making it harder and harder for people to use the ramp. Wanting to fix the issue for more accessibility for both home dwellers and visitors, he decided to search for a company that could help. When they came across our website, they decided to take advantage of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Kyle P, headed out to the home.
Solution
Once Kyle had completed his inspection, he informed the homeowner that we could easily fix the issue using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected below concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slabs back into place. Kyle went on to say that all of our concrete installs are finished with the installation of our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, this product gets installed to cracks and joints in the concrete to prevent unwanted moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner was thrilled that the solution was. non-invasive, cheaper than other methods, and had a quick curing time, meaning it would be ready for use fairly soon. The project was scheduled for a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Ryan, and his team began the project by lifting and leveling the ramp and other sunken areas of the concrete. Then, they applied the NexusPro. Now our homeowner can use his ramp with no hassle!
