Uneven Sidewalk and Patio Raised in Hopkins, MN

Challenge

A homeowner in Hopkins, MN, discovered water in their basement after a heavy rainstorm. After further investigation, the homeowner determined the water was coming from the puddles around their home. The homeowner knew they could not solve the issue on their own, so they decided to look for professional help. Instead of looking for a concrete replacement, the homeowner looked into concrete lifting and leveling options near them. Solution

The Design Specialist arrived at the home and started his detailed inspection of the concrete. During his inspection, the Design Specialist found that the sidewalk and patio were sinking quickly into the ground. To stop the sidewalk from sinking further, the homeowner recommended lifting the affected areas with our PolyLevel solution. Wanting to avoid total concrete replacement, the homeowner decided to follow along with the Design Specialists' recommendations. The plans were sent to our office for approval, and then to our Foreman, Troy, to begin the project. Once Troy and his crew arrived, they began by lifting the sidewalk and patio using PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam solution. The crew successfully lifted the sidewalk and patio back to its original state, so they shifted their focus to taking out all the old sidewalk joints with NexusPro Solution, a silicone-based solution.
