Cracked, Sunken Patio Raised in Charles City, IA

Challenge

A homeowner in Charles City, IA, realized it was time to schedule their Annual Maintenance Appointment. After making this realization, the homeowner called our Service team and made their appointment. In addition to inspecting their current waterproofing system, the homeowner hoped to have their cracked and sinking patio inspected. Once the appointment was set, we sent one of our Service Technicians, Clay, to the home to inspect their system.

Solution

After Clay arrived, he began his thorough inspection of the installed product. Once he wrapped up the inspection, the homeowner showed him to the struggling patio and asked if we could provide them with a solution. With the help of our PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, the homeowner's patio could be raised back to its original state. Clay was able to provide the homeowner with a solution for the damp walls and sinking concrete. Trusting our services, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Clay's recommendations. Next, the plans were sent to our Logistics team for finalization. Once the project was approved, the plans were sent to our Foremen, Patrick and Diego, and their crews. First, Diego and his crew traveled to the home to begin the CleanSpace installation. CleanSpace is a quick and economical way to encapsulate basement walls. Once CleanSpace was installed on the damp basement walls, Diego and his crew passed the project to Patrick, one of our concrete Foreman, and his crew. Patrick and his crew arrived at the home and began lifting the patio with PolyLevel. Once Patrick and his crew completed lifting the patio, they shifted their focus to taking out all the old joints and replacing them with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. After the entire patio was repaired, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful for the excellent work completed by both crews.
