Sunk Stairs Lifted in Charles City, IA
Challenge
A homeowner in Charles City, IA, tripped walking into their home one evening. After doing some investigating, the homeowner discovered the stairs and walkway were not even and became serious tripping hazards. Knowing they could not fix this issue themself, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to assist them. The homeowner asked a local Facebook group, and several members recommended working with us, American Waterworks. After hearing such positive reviews and referrals, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate.
Solution
Once the estimate was finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Nate, to perform the estimate. Nate arrived at the home, introduced himself, and then began his detailed inspection of the concrete. Nate discovered the concrete was sinking into the ground, causing the unevenness of the concrete. To stop the concrete from sinking further, Nate recommended lifting the stairs and walkway with PolyLevel, a high-density polyurethane, that will lift the slab back to its original place. The homeowner agreed with Nate's proposal, so the plans were sent to our office to be approved. Once they were approved, the proposal was assigned to our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew to begin. Patrick and his crew traveled to the home and started the PolyLevel installation. The crew lifted the steps and walkway to all be even. Once the concrete was lifted, they went in with the NexusPro Crack Repair, a silicone-based solution, to repair all the cracks throughout the concrete. After all the cracks were repaired, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew.
