Restaurant Sidewalk Sinking Resolved in Bismarck, ND

Challenge

A restaurant manager in Bismarck, ND, noticed the sidewalk around the restaurant was significantly uneven. Worried a customer could be injured, the manager knew they needed to find a solution. Solution

Ian traveled to the home and began his thorough walkthrough of the surrounding concrete. During his walk-through, Ian discovered the sidewalk was suffering from settlement. To stop the settlement from continuing, Ian came up with a solution. Ian proposed lifting the struggling concrete back to its original state. The manager decided to go ahead with Ian's proposal. Once he received the okay from the manager, he sent the plans to our Logistics team so they could build and schedule the project. After the project was built, it was assigned to our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew. Next, Charlie and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Charlie and his crew started by lifting the sidewalk with PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution. PolyLevel is a high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete slabs. Once the slabs were lifted, the crew shifted their attention to repairing the cracks on the northeast crack of the sidewalk. To repair these cracks, the crew used NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joins and cracks designed to provide flexibility and long-lasting durability. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the restaurant. The manager was relieved to know their concrete was properly lifted and leveled.
