Cracked Concrete Driveway Repaired in Barnesville, MN

A homeowner in Barnesville, MN had a concrete driveway that had begun settling causing giant cracks to form. After putting off the project for a while, the homeowner realized that it was time to get the issue addressed and contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.

Solution

One of our Design Specialists arrived at the home on the scheduled date to provide a thorough inspection and answer any questions. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete is soil compaction. When the soil's load-bearing capacity exceeds, in this case, as cars drive and park over it, it causes the soil to compact and settle. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended PolyLevel, our high-density foam-expanding formula that will accurately lift settled slabs, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility and high durability to repair cracks and seal joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In two months, our Foreman, Charlie C., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began lifting the concrete slabs of the driveway by first drilling small holes into the slabs. Then, the injection ports are installed and PolyLevel is injected beneath the slab. Once the concrete slab is at the desired level, the holes are sealed with cement. Lastly, the crew used NexusPro to seal the joint between the garage and driveway and repaired the cracks along the driveway and driveway apron.
