Trip Hazards Eliminated in Alma, WI

Challenge

Lee C. in Alma, WI was tired of the trip hazards on his concrete sidewalk. The concrete had cracked and sunk in numerous spots, making it a dangerous and unsightly surface. Lee contacted American Waterworks to receive a free estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his concrete first-hand. Our Design Specialist assured him that we could raise his concrete to make it a level and safe surface once again. Lee was very pleased to hear this, so he chose to move forward with the project.

Solution

One of our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete slabs where they needed to be raised. Then, they injected the polymer foam which expands and causes the slabs to be raised. Lastly, the crew filled back the holes with concrete. This process took almost a full day because of the severity of the sunken concrete. Lee was pleased with the results and is glad he can now enjoy a safe sidewalk for years to come!
