The stability of any concrete slab or surface solely depends on the soils underneath it. The weight of the concrete combined with soil erosion can cause sunken and cracked concrete surfaces. The can affect anything from your driveway, sidewalk, porch, patio, or garage floor.

A homeowner in Round Lake, MN had similar issues to this. Her concrete was cracking and sinking at the front of her garage and her front porch step. She got in contact with American Waterworks and got a FREE estimate scheduled with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to the homeowner's house, carefully inspected the issues, and determined a plan that would suit the homeowner's wants, needs, and budget. They were confident in our proposal and presentation, so they signed our contract, wrote out a deposit, and got a date scheduled for the installation.

Solution

Our Foreman and his crew member began the process by introducing themselves to the homeowner and ensuring all of their questions were answered. After a clear introduction, our team started the PolyLevel injection. When it comes time for this, the first thing our crew does is drill small holes throughout the concrete slab. Then, our team installs injection ports over the holes to guide the PolyLevel underneath the concrete. Next, our crew injects the PolyLevel through the holes, underneath the slab, to fill the voids and raise the slab surface. Lastly, our crew seals the holes and control joints, ensuring the concrete is stabilized.

After our crew injected our PolyLevel, they applied our NexusPro over the cracks. Our NexusPro is a special sealant that prevents moisture from seeping underneath the concrete. The first step in the NexusPro process is to prepare the cracks and joints, such as removing debris, existing sealant, and grinding the cracks. Next, our NexusPro is applied over the crack and compressed down into the joint. Lastly, the joints and cracks are blended with a layer of sand, which gives the concrete a polished appearance.
