Ultimate Crawl Space Transformation in Forest Lake, MN

Challenge

Dale O. in Forest Lake, MN noticed that the crawl space in his cabin was sloping and had standing water. He did his research and learned that American Waterworks is the leading contractor for crawl space repair and encapsulation in the region. He met with one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, who evaluated the situation and proposed a unique solution. Dale approved of the plan and set a date for the project installation.

Solution

Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his production crew were successfully able to stabilize the sagging crawl space by first installing 6 SmartJacks. The SmartJack is an adjustable supplemental support system which lifts the failing floor joists or beams, often restoring them to their original position. Next, the crew permanently waterproofed the space by installing our SmartPipe and Drain Tile drainage system and our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Then, they installed our drainage matting, TerraBlock insulation, and Crawl Space vapor barrier on the floor, spray foam in the rim joists, and Foamax Insulation and Finishing Panels along the walls. In addition to our dehumidification system, the combination of these products guaranteed the ultimate crawl space transformation sealing off the space from dirt, excess moisture, and pests. Dale was very happy with the results and glad his crawl space is now a dry, clean, and energy efficient space.
