Prinsburg, MN, CrawlSpace Gets Encapsulated

Challenge

A concerned homeowner in Prinsburg, MN, noticed their allergies were acting up all year round. After doing research, the homeowner discovered the culprit could be the crawlspace in their home. The homeowner came across one of American Waterworks before and after's on social media and was inspired to reach out. The homeowner called our appointment center and signed up for a FREE estimate. We sent out a Design Specialist, Shane, to evaluate the crawlspace in the home. Following his evaluation, Shane suggested the homeowners encapsulate the crawl space. The homeowners agreed and the encapsulation process began.

Solution

Once the crew arrived, they ensured that the crawlspace was empty and the ground was even. The crew then laid down drainage matting, then installed CleanSpace on top of it. Along with the floor, CleanSpace was attached to three of the crawlspace walls. Foamax was applied on the fourth wall, along with spray foam on the rim joist. The crew completed the job and the homeowners were left happy with their new space. If they wish, the homeowners can use the crawlspace as storage space that has a proper vapor barrier.
