A homeowner in Mason City, IA, learned that having a properly encapsulated crawl space saves money on their energy bill. Hoping to have the crawl space professionally encapsulated, the homeowner began looking for the best company to complete the project. After comparing several companies, the homeowner ultimately decided to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Romeo, to the home to complete the full inspection of the basement.

Solution

Romeo arrived at the home and began his detailed inspection of the basement. After he wrapped up the inspection, Romeo came up with a proposal that would encapsulate the entire space. The homeowner agreed with Romeo's suggestions, so the plans were sent to our Logistics team to build the project. Once the project was built, they passed the plans on to our Foreman, Diego, and his crew to start the project. Diego and his crew arrived at the home and began by ensuring the crawl space was clean. Next, the crew installed Drainage Matting onto the crawl space floor. Drainage Matting is an extremely durable matting that creates a drainage space and thermal break between the CleanSpace and the ground. Once the Drainage Matting was laid, the crew attached CleanSpace to the crawl space walls and floors. CleanSpace is a heavy 20-mil thick liner that acts as a vapor for your crawl space. After the walls and floor were covered in CleanSpace, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful for the superb work completed by the crew.
