Inefficient Crawl Space Transformed in Ferryville, WI

Challenge

A new homeowner from Ferryville, WI had recently purchased a property with a crawl space. The homeowner had prior knowledge and knew that an unencapsulated crawl space could lead to energy inefficiency, standing water, or even unwanted critters. He wasn't willing to sacrifice his home's health so he began to look for a company offering crawl space repairs near him. When he found our website, he was impressed with our other crawl space sealing jobs and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate and quote. Several weeks later, our Design Specialists was on his way to the home.

Solution

When our Design Specialist arrived, he got right to work evaluating the crawl space. Once he completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendation. Our Design Specialists stated that they believed 3 of our products would create a healthy, dry, and energy-efficient space. First, he recommended our CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto the walls and floor of the crawl space. It works to collect any water entering through holes or cracks in the wall, draining it downward and into our drainage matting, our Design Specialist's second recommendation. If the CleanSpace is flush with the crawl space floor, the water collected will not have space to drain. Our drainage matting is installed on the floor of the crawl space beneath the CleanSpace. Its unique dimples gives water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, keeping it from standing on the crawl space floor. Finally, our Design Specialist recommended our AprilAire dehumidifier. Adding an Aprilaire dehumidifier creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days' time when set to 50% RH. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and scheduled the job for several weeks later.
